We are a boutique salon on a lovely block in Old City, Philadelphia.
We love our clients and take pride in everything we do, no matter how seemingly simple or complex.
We will create a great cut or color for your face, lifestyle, and hair goals while sharing tips and tricks for achieving your look between appointments.
A native Philadelphian, Joe started his career in Philadelphia in the 80's, worked at a salon in the lower east side of Manhattan for a bit, then he moved to San Francisco and opened a salon on Haight Street where he honed his craft from the 90's-2000's. In the early 2000's, he moved to Philadelphia and he worked in the front window of the original American Mortals for 18 years.
In the summer of 2022, he found a delightful space in Old City and opened Salon Ballyhoo!
Joe is a lifelong learner. He has completed the Wella Master colorist training, trained at Redken Academy, Bumble and Bumble, Nick Arrojo Academy, Tony & Guy NYC, and Sassoon Academy.

After only two years in business, we are thrilled to be recognized, along with other long-time salons, as a top Philadelphia Salon!
