A native Philadelphian, Joe started his career in Philadelphia in the 80's, worked at a salon in the lower east side of Manhattan for a bit, then he moved to San Francisco and opened a salon on Haight Street where he honed his craft from the 90's-2000's. In the early 2000's, he moved to Philadelphia and he worked in the front window of the original American Mortals for 18 years.
In the summer of 2022, he found a delightful space in Old City and opened Salon Ballyhoo!
Joe is a lifelong learner. He has completed the Wella Master colorist training, trained at Redken Academy, Bumble and Bumble, Nick Arrojo Academy, Tony & Guy NYC, and Sassoon Academy.
A Philadelphia native, Beth started her career at East End Salon in Old City. She honed her craft for over 20 years, concentrating expertise on short haircuts, keratin treatments, and color. During the pandemic, Beth's loyal clients welcomed house calls, and she proudly embraced her barbering techniques at Bloke's Barbershop. Reestablishing herself at a full-service salon, Beth joins Ballyhoo!
When not cutting, coloring, and doing beautiful keratin treatments, Beth loves to be on the water or cheering on Philly sports teams.
We are hiring seasoned stylists that love hair and want to really like where they work
